Codan launches Sentry-V military VHF radio
Paris, France – Eurosatory 2016, booth #BA607, 13 June 2016. Codan Radio Communications has announced the release of their latest military VHF handheld radio system, the Codan Sentry-V. The first product to launch from Codan’s newly announced Sentry family, the Sentry-V paves the way for further Sentry products to be released, with the second system due for launch in September at Africa Aerospace & Defence.
Sentry-V has the ability to operate across the 30 MHz – 88 MHz frequency range with AES-256 encryption coupled with advanced voice coding technology, enabling the system to provide superior voice clarity. The Sentry-V handheld system has been designed to encapsulate the core strengths of the Sentry product family, creating an easy to use system with a rugged and reliable design.

Based on a Software Defined Radio platform, The Sentry-V utilises voice and data transmission capability across both analog and digital networks. This enables it to support all major protocols, including P25, DMR, Analog FM and DVOA. In addition the Sentry-V offers on screen GPS mapping, Bluetooth interoperability a multi-lingual user interface as well as dual functionality as a mobile repeater to extend the network communications range.
