Stratus is the first deployable P25/LTE hybrid solution that harnesses the strengths of both technologies to provide secure mobile voice networks and ensure complete network coverage anywhere and anytime. The Stratus radio system leverages the power of P25 and LTE (3G/4G) technologies to ensure the transportability of a subscriber unit in a lightweight, highly mobile infrastructure solution. Housed in a durable impact-resistant Pelican case, the Stratus repeater integrates a VHF, UHF, 700 MHz, or 800 MHz repeater, Universal Interface Card (UIC) and LTE modem, linking instantaneously into established communications networks without requiring a hard wired Ethernet connection.
ET-3 Aluminum Transportable
The Codan ET-3 case is a rugged, pressurized, waterproof, 19” aluminum transportable case accommodating one subrack, with 2U additional space free for optional modules. It features spring-retracted handles, smooth latches, a pressure-relief valve and desiccant. The lid has a steel plate to magnetically mount an antenna. The Codan ET-3 is typically used for deployment in extreme environments like mountaintops or fighting fires in forests.
ET-4 Briefcase Repeater
The Codan ET-4 Briefcase Repeater is a compact polyethylene case that accommodates standard Codan LMR radio modules as well as an optional battery backup, duplexer and accessory storage box. The case is rugged, waterproof, and easily deployed by one person. The ET-4 can be configured for any combination of repeater and/or base station radio requirements across the frequencies required.
Portable Solar Panel
Codan offers a compact solar panel package for use with its transportable radio repeater family or for use in any application requiring rapidly deployable DC power that is compact and easy to carry and set up. The solar panel is made of a rugged flexible material and is rated for 60W with a 3.6A output. Optionally a second solar panel can be added in tandem and stored in the same Pelican case. For a Codan transportable repeater this provides sufficient power to charge the battery pack enabling continuous radio operation at 30 watts with a 5% duty cycle.
CYCLONE FIXED SITE REPEATER & BASE STATION
As the industry’s first P25 DFSI interfaced drop-in replacement for legacy core radio repeaters and base stations, the Codan Cyclone enables future migrations to a standards-based network and backhaul over Ethernet. Cyclone radio repeaters can be used to overcome geographical features that would otherwise interfere with radio communications and extend communications coverage over greater distances.
VOTING & SIMULCAST SYSTEM
The Codan P25 Voting & Simulcast system improves talk-in and talk-out coverage, maintaining spectrum efficiency and a seamless user experience in an otherwise difficult situation. The Voting system improves coverage in most common problem and “dead-spots”, allows users to roam coverage areas without switching channels and re-uses existing channels. The Codan system uses a modular design that can be scaled up to 64 sites and 64 channels, supports both P25 and analog and has an IP base core.
TRUNKED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
A Codan Trunked Communication System helps more users communicate on limited channels, meaning end users can talk into a system easily without needing to change channels manually. Codan's ISSI connectivity allows your trunked radio system to link into a P25 compliant infrastructure, regardless of vendor. The trunked system can be scaled to meet any requirements thanks to its modular design and flexible form factor.
Communication between dispatch or command centers and mobile or portable equipped radio users elsewhere is made possible by base station radios. The simplest base station configuration is one in which the radio communicates with a variety of hand-held or mobile radios in analog or P25 digital mode, but Codan radios can be configured for a range of base station applications. The base stations from Codan can be configured easily for a variety of applications, are highly respected for their reliability and durability, and can perform in the harshest environments.
Repeaters can be used to overcome geographical features that would normally obstruct radio communications can be overcome with radio repeaters, which also extend radio coverage over much greater distances. As a result, mobile radio users are more able to communicate with each other or their base station. Codan radio repeaters are available in analog or P25 digital configurations.
