We know your operations are spread beyond line of site, whether over the horizon, behind mountains, in urban jungles or underground, we can create a solution that will keep everything running smoothly.
We hear you.
EASY COMMUNICATION WITH ROAD CREWS
Road crews need to communicate to synchronise their workload and coordinate resources. Most current communications solutions use high power in-vehicle radio, which do not meet simplicity and reliability needs. Review our solution sheet to see how our mobile repeaters, radio repeaters and base stations can help.
COMMUNICATE IN REMOTE ENVIRONMENTS
In mountainous or heavily forested regions where communications are obstructed by the natural environment, a radio transmission may not always reach its destination. Communication networks can become especially critical in hazardous environments and in emergency situations. Review our solutions sheet to see how our mobile repeaters and radio repeaters can help.
TRUNKED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
A Trunked Radio System by Codan allows users to expand your communications network from a single site. Compatible with P25 radio technology our trunked radio system gives users the opportunity to communicate using a reduced number of channels, freeing up the network for end users and simplifying the overall communication process. Codan’s ISSI connectivity allows your Codan Trunked Radio System to link into any P25 compliant infrastructure so integration is seamless. The trunked radio system offers supreme versatility with a modular and scalable design to meet requirements for a range of applications including fire department radio, police radio communication and utility services.
Stratus is the first deployable P25/LTE hybrid solution that leverages the strengths of both technologies to provide secure mobile voice networks. By utilising both P25 and LTE (3G/4G) networks the Stratus radio system has the mobility of a subscriber unit in a lightweight, easily transportable package. This provides complete system and network coverage from any location. Codan’s Stratus Radio Repeater is housed in a protective Pelican case ensuring reliability in all conditions. Stratus repeater integrates a range of frequency bands including VHF, UHF, 700 MHz and 800 MHz, and uses both a Universal Interface Card (UIC) and LTE modem to link instantaneously into established communications networks. Codan’s Stratus radio system provides a hugely versatile radio repeater and mobile repeater solution.
Vizor Transportable Repeater (ET-6)
The Codan Vizor repeater is a rapid mobile repeater that delivers instant communications and extends communication coverage when it’s most needed. The Vizor repeater is housed in a rugged and discreet transportable Pelican case providing extreme flexibility when it comes to operating in harsh environments. The Codan Visor can be configured as a radio repeater, a base station or a repeater/base station combination. Its versatile platform delivers all the core functionalities you’d expect from a site-based product including P25 compliance, full transmission encryption, crossband capability, and low power consumption.
ET-3 ALUMINUM TRANSPORTABLE
The Codan ET-3 is an aluminum cased mobile repeater offered by Codan to extend your radio communications in the most extreme environments. The ET-3’s state of the art aluminium case is pressurized and waterproof to create a rugged and flexible package typically used in extreme and remote environments. The aluminum mobile repeater typically lends itself to applications in fire department radio, emergency radio communications and even natural resources sector communication. Codan’s ET-3 mobile repeater accommodates one subrack with the addition of 2U space free for optional RF modules, and also features spring-retracted handles, smooth latches, a pressure-relief valve and desiccant.
ET-4 BRIEFCASE REPEATER
The Codan ET-4 Briefcase Repeater is a compact mobile repeater perfect for extending radio communications for first response teams to other ground units and base stations. Constructed using a polyethylene case, the briefcase mobile repeater accommodates standard LMR radio modules as well as an optional battery backup, duplexer and accessory storage box. The rugged, waterproof protective case is sturdy and lightweight meaning the briefcase repeater can be easily deployed by one person. The ET-4 can be configured for any combination of radio repeater and base station requirements across all commonly required frequency bands.
PORTABLE SOLAR PANEL
Codan offers a portable solar panel package for use with its mobile repeaters and any application requiring rapidly deployable DC power. As part of our extensive LMR hardware range our portable solar panels provide a simple, compact and easily transportable power supply which can be set up easily in a variety of remote locations. The solar panel is made of a rugged material for reliable performance in all conditions and is rated for 60W with a 3.6A output. Optionally a second solar panel can be used and stored within the same Pelican case for added flexibility. For a Codan mobile repeater this provides sufficient charging of the battery pack to enable continuous radio operation at 30 watts with a 5% duty cycle.
Base station radio systems are used to facilitate communication between dispatch centers and their on field units equipped with mobile radio devices. Base stations ensure communication lines remain open between everyone on ground and the operations command center. Codan LMR radios can be easily configured for a variety of base station applications to provide the ultimate adaptability for every application. Base stations can be utilised in variety of operations including homeland security radio, police radio communications, emergency radio communications and fire department radio. From our simplest basic base station configuration to our state of the art Cyclone and Stratus base station repeater solutions. Our Codan base stations communicate with a variety of hand-held or mobile radios either in analog or P25 digital mode.
Radio repeaters are the ideal tool to facilitate radio communications in harsh and remote geographical environments. Codan repeaters relay radio transmissions to overcome obstructive environmental features such as dense forest, mountainous terrain or large buildings which would typically pose problems to radio communications. Radio repeaters also have the ability to extend coverage to facilitate communication over greater distances. This dual-purpose functionality renders Codan repeaters ideal for a host of applications including fire department radio, police radio communication and natural resources communication. Codan repeaters increase the ability of portable radio users to communicate with each other in the field, as well as facilitating communication with our base station systems. Codan repeaters are available in analog or P25 digital configurations and their radio modules are hot swappable ensuring easy configuration and maintenance in any situation.
