Affordable and Intuitive Tactical Communications
At Codan we understand it’s tough today to afford a tactical High Frequency (HF) radio system that has all the features you desire, without compromising on essentials like durability and security. That’s why we’ve created the Codan Sentry-H Software-Defined Radio (SDR) with next generation Digital Voice, 3G ALE and Frequency Hopping. It’s the most robust and intuitive high-power SDR radio we’ve ever built for voice and data communications.
Sentry-H has all the advanced tactical radio features you require at a fraction of the cost of high-end competitors, so you're in control of when you upgrade or extend your network, even when budgets are tight
With Sentry-H's intuitive menu with localised languages, we make it easy to operate the radio with minimal training. When seconds count in tough conditions, we help you keep your 'cool' and put you back in control
Sentry-H's digital voice capability delivers clearly intelligible speech no matter the conditions, ensuring you’re always heard, loud and clear.
With a massive 150 W in a single compact RF unit, we've eliminated the complication of an external amplifier. Sentry-H is easy and fast to install in base and mobile configurations so you can hit the ground running.
Your "one-stop" tactical solutions shop
Codan Sentry-H is a part of a broader family of tactical solutions including the Sentry-V (VHF) tactical handheld radio, Patrol 2110M manpack radio, and our RIOS interoperability solution which integrates a range of communications devices including radios, smartphones and computers. High Power — without the Amplifier
We’ve eliminated the need for an external power amplifier, often required in competitor systems, and we’ve engineered the Codan Sentry to provide 150 W of power so that you get the best and most
reliable communications. Whether your configuring a base or mobile system, Codan's compact and highly integrated unit with robust handset makes installation fast and without the fuss.
The Sentry-H is quick and easy to install in a vehicle, with a space-saving design that enables you to conveniently mount the handset and RF unit separately.
The ruggedised and versatile design of Sentry-H's RF units makes installation into permanent and temporary bases simple, and it operates from wide ranging DC and AC power sources. A Codan Sentry-H base configuration delivers reliable and powerful communications over vast distances, with standard power output 150 W and expandable up to 1000 W.

At Codan we understand how difficult it is for agencies to upgrade or extend their communications networks when budgets are tight. That's why we developed Sentry-H — a fully-featured radio a fraction of the price of high-end competitors — to keep costs low to put you back in control and give you tomorrow's technology today.
With an icon-based full-colour user interface, intuitive programming, and localised languages Sentry-H is easy to operate and minimises the need for training. At last, Sentry-H is a radio that is simple to operate and that speaks your language.
When competitor systems try to deliver high-power, they typically add more kit and cabling. With Sentry-H we deliver 150 W power for voice and data, and at the same time we have completely eliminated the need for an external power amplifier making installation lightning fast and without fuss.
With Codan's second generation Digital Voice capability, the Sentry-H delivers clearly intelligible speech no matter the conditions, ensuring you’re always heard, loud and clear.
Sentry's proven software-defined architecture enables you to download and upgrade new capabilities through software to deliver communications sustainability now and in the future.
Codan has a legendary reputation for building the world's toughest radios, which are designed and test-driven in Australia — one of the most inhospitable places on the planet. The Sentry-H meets and exceeds a range of standards including MIL-STD-810G.
Sentry-H Mobile Solution
A Sentry-H mobile solution consists of an Sentry-H radio (RFU), handset (and cradle), vehicle installation hardware kit and cables. The antenna options for a mobile solution are the 3046 HF Antenna Tuner and NATO whip. The space saving design allows for the handset and radio to be mounted separately with a quick and easy install setup. The quick tuning antenna provides optimal coverage.
Sentry-H Base Station Solution
The Sentry-H base station solution consists of a Sentry-H radio (RFU), handset, power supply, tactical broadband HF antenna and cables. A Codan Sentry base configuration delivers reliable and powerful communications over vast distances with power outputs from 150 to 1000 W. The ruggedised RF units versatile design makes installation into permanent and temporary bases simple, and it operates from wide ranging DC and AC power sources.
