Transmitters

LOOP Codan - Transmitters

Codan transmitter modules plug into Codan subracks and are modular in construction. Inside each transmitter, the Main Board, the Audio Processor, the Amplifier and the Synthesizer are each individually assembled and tested which facilitates tuning and maintenance.

All transmitters are constructed with anodized aluminum and stainless-steel hardware. The circuit boards are glass-epoxy construction with gold-plated module connectors. They comply with FCC and IC standards at the time of manufacture and comply with IEEE 1101, DIN 41494 and IEC 297-3 for mechanical dimensions.

Codan transmitters and receivers have been specifically designed for extended reliable operation under extreme environmental conditions and draw minimal current, making them ideal for installation in transportable systems or at remote solar cell powered sites.

MT-4E Transmitter (Analog or P25 Digital)

  • Offers high performance and low current consumption

  • Capable of 12.5 kHz (narrowband) 25 kHz (wideband) operation (analog only)

  • Can be used in repeater or base station configurations

  • May be operated in digital P25, analog or mixed mode

  • With a firmware upgrade purchase, they can be programmed for 12.5 kHz P25 digital operation

  • Settings such as Frequency, CTCSS, NAC and analog/digital/mixed mode operation are PC programmable via connection to transmitter through the front panel USB port

  • Can be programmed with up to 2 banks of 16 channels each

  • An optional external frequency input can be enabled on the transmitter to allow higher frequency stability than the standard of ± 1.0 ppm (VHF) or ± 0.5 ppm (UHF)
